The Westmoreland Club Charitable Foundation is a public charity organized under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The primary focus of the Westmoreland Club Charitable Foundation is to provide scholarship assistance to Westmoreland Club employees, their children and grandchildren pursuant to the guidelines adopted by the Board of Directors. Since inception of the Foundation in 2016, employees and their children have been awarded $75,000 in scholarships towards post-secondary education due to the generosity of Westmoreland Club members.

Other Foundation Purposes: 
To assist qualified charitable community organizations provid­ing educational, health and guidance assistance to children and youth. 
 
To provide educational programs to educate the public on the history of the community through lectures and tours using the portraits of prominent community leaders on display in The Westmoreland Club, To foster public understanding of and appreciation for the rich heritage of the community. 

To support historic preservation activities in the community including the maintenance of the exterior structure of The Westmoreland Club located in a late 19th century Georgian Revival mansion designated a contributing factor in the approval of the Downtown Wilkes-Barre National Register Historic District.
